RADIUS Authentication - provided by Secure SafeWord products

Strong RADIUS authentication and positive identification for trusted connections

What is strong RADIUS authentication?
RADIUS Authentication Strong authentication refers to systems that require multiple factors for authentication and use advanced technology, such as dynamic passcodes or digital certificates, to verify a user's identity. RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial In User Service) is an authentication protocol generally used for remote access. The RADIUS client communicates securely with the RADIUS server based on a defined "secret" authentication sequence.

A common example of multi-factor (strong) authentication is your ATM card or bank card. This requires something you have (your card), and something you know (your PIN). You wouldn't want your bank to allow access to your account with just one factor. Yet many of your valuable network resources can be accessed with one weak authentication item--a password!

Most of the vulnerabilities of passwords (sniffing, guessing, hacking, etc.) would be eliminated if you constantly changed your passwords. Secure SafeWord strong RADIUS authentication products and SafeWord tokens allow you to do just that--change your password every time you log in!
